At TIMSR we emphasize on this Andragogy through the aid of various techniques such as Case study, Case lets, Brain Storming, Experiential Learning, Quizzes, Simulation, Business Games, Experiential Learning, etc apart from Lectures. Experiential Learning Experiential Learning is a process which facilitates students knowledge development, skills, and values from direct experience. Experiential Learning encompasses a variety of activities through computer lab sessions such as Mock Trading in various Financial Markets, etc. Wellplanned, supervised and assessed Experiential Learning programs are used. Case Study The Case Study teaching aid is quite useful for the Guide on the Side approach in facilitating a collective learning experience. It helps exposing students to various management roles, and business situations. It hones their decision-making skills as it gives them access to sift through large volumes of information and identify - problems, corporate goals, define relevant alternatives, and develop plans on their basis. Brain Storming Brain Storming is used as a technique to enhance students lateral thinking through a relaxed and informal approach to problem solving. This encourages them to come up with original, out of the box and creative solutions to problems. It also helps in jolting them out of their normal process of thinking. Role Plays Role Plays challenge students to deal with complex problems which have no perfect quotrightquot answer and to use a variety of skills that emphasizes the quotreal-worldquot side of problems beyond those employed through textual knowledge. Simulation A Simulation is designed so that it will, as much as possible, mimic a real client situation so that students can explore, experiment with, and understand it before engaging with a live client. 19 Corporate Training Plan The PGDM Course at TIMSR is designed to go beyond the university curriculum to get our students in line to Industrys expectations.
